FD Rapid GolgiStain™ Kit

FD Rapid GolgiStain™ kit Is developed based on the methods described by Ramόn-Moliner (1970,  Glaser & Van der Loos, 1981) principle.

The kit was designed to aid in the study of the neuronal dendrites and dendritic spines morphology. Using the Golgi-technique, morphological alterations were discovered in the brains of animals treated with drugs as well as in the postmortem brains of patients with neurological diseases.

Prior, the process of Golgi-cox staining was time-consuming and unreliable. As a result, the kit was developed to overcome those shortcomings and to promote the Golgi-Cox technique. The FD Rapid GolgiStainTM Kit has been extensively tested on the brains of different species of animals as well as on the specimens of postmortem human brains and has significantly improved and simplified the Golgi-technique.

In addition, it has proven to be extremely reliable and sensitive in demonstrating the morphological details of neuronal dendrites and dendritic spines.

Uses of FD Rapid GolgiStain™ kit

  • For visualizing morphological details of neurons, especially the dendrites and dendritic spines
  • For the analysis of various parameters of dendritic morphology including dendritic length and branching pattern and dendritic spine number, shape, and size.
